2 Killed, 4 Injured In Bridgeport Shootings

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Six people were shot, two fatally, in three overnight shootings in Bridgeport, police said.

The Connecticut Post reported that at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a report of a shooting on a city street. An unidentified 23-year-old man died at Bridgeport Hospital.

Shortly before 4 a.m., detectives responded to a domestic shooting that left a woman dead and a man shot in the leg.

Police arrested a suspect within an hour.

In an earlier incident shortly after midnight, hosts called police to help break up a large house party. Gunfire erupted before police arrived and three people were wounded.

Police say the victims have not been cooperating.
