Search On For Suspect In Attempted Rape In Jackson Heights, Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were asking the public to help them find a suspect in an attempted rape last month in Jackson Heights, Queens.

The incident happened around 5 a.m. June 6, in the area of Roosevelt Avenue, police said.

The suspect followed the victim into her apartment building, threw her to the ground, and tried to rape her, police said.

The victim was not injured.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, standing about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a short-sleeve button-down shirt and blue jeans.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect.
