NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Thousands of New Yorkers scrambled from Coney Island to Brighton Beach Sunday to find dozens of PEZ dispensers filled with cash in the sand, CBS 2 reported.
“I kept praying. My husband is in the car passing a kidney stone, so now we’re going to the hospital to pay the deductible,” one hidden cash finder told CBS 2.
But as CBS 2 reported, the big prize was in the Superman dispenser that held two tickets round-trip tickets to anywhere in the United States.
The hidden cash hunt is run by a California real estate investor and his friends who took to Twitter looking for creative ways to “pay it forward.”
