Jerry's update covered all of the bases after both the Yankees and the Mets came up on the short end of their respective Wednesday night games.

The Yanks failed to hold on down in Baltimore, losing 5-3 in a game where Joe Girardi was tossed, an unjustified ejection according to the Bomber's skipper who told the assembled media just that.  The Yankees captain, Derek Jeter, sounded a little testy after the fourth straight loss -- and who could really blame him?

As for the Mets, they lost 3-2 to the Nationals, as the Nats continued their dominance at Cit Field, now winners of 10 straight in Flushing.  Off the field we hear that Terry Collins' job is safe with regards to next season and Matt Harvey is ramping up his rehab, which has the Mets' brass concerned.

Plus, the Jets break camp and Rex is feeling good about his defense, Giants will get some offensive line help returning and the 2014-15 NBA schedule is released...
