Boomer & Carton: Working It All Out On A Monday
After a busy weekend, Boomer & Craig had their work cut for them while opening up Monday morning’s radio program, but they were clearly up to the task.
After offering up a good morning to the legions of loyal listeners, the boys tackled Friday night’s Giants-Jets preseason matchup, which didn’t go very far in instilling confidence in either fan base.
The Giants’ offense is still not clicking, and Eli Manning — according to Boomer — is looking “skittish.” Oh, boy.
As for Rex’s Jets, Geno Smith is officially the team’s starting quarterback, but they’re a little thin at the cornerback position. So there’s that.
Meanwhile, while everyone is busy trying to forecast what the future might hold for the football locals, the Yankees have won four games in a row, proving — thus far anyway — that perhaps players-only meetings do actually work.
All of that and a discussion on the NFL’s growing concussion problem, as the 61 preseason reported cases (according to Forbes) is reason for real concern…
