Police: 1 Person Taken To Hospital Following Shooting In Downtown Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- One person has been taken to the hospital after a shooting near Livingston Street and Nevins Street in Downtown Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

Police said two people got into a dispute and one victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries including a gunshot wound to the leg and a graze wound to the head.

A parole officer may have been in the vicinity and assisted in the arrest, police said. However, the officer's involvement with the dispute and the suspect is currently unknown.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
