NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police on Friday were asking the public to help them find a suspect who allegedly groped two women in southern Brooklyn.

In two incidents earlier this month, the man grabbed the women from behind and groped their buttocks and “private areas,” police said.

The first incident happened around 9:05 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10. The 31-year-old woman was assaulted as she walked into her building at an unspecified address, police said.

The second incident happened at 10:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11 in front of 1839 Bath Ave. in Bath Beach, Brooklyn, police said. The victim in that case was a 34-year-old woman.

Police have released a surveillance video of the suspect exiting the door of an apartment building.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
