Today marks the start of year No. 8 of this thing we've affectionately come to know as the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza. It also marks the beginning of the end for Derek Jeter's career in pinstripes, as his Yanks start September on the outside looking in at the AL playoff picture.
