Jets' Michael Vick To Be Weekly Guest On Mike Francesa's Show

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Ready for a little Michael Vick in the afternoon?

As the sports landscape moves into its busiest time of the year, WFAN host Mike Francesa returned from vacation on Tuesday and announced his roster of professional athletes, retired legends and league insiders that will do weekly spots on his show this fall.

The usual suspects, like Giants quarterback Eli Manning, Hall of Fame quarterback-turned-analyst Troy Aikman, college football guru Gary Danielson and Fox NFL insider Jay Glazer, will return. The surprise addition is 12-year veteran Vick, the Jets' current backup quarterback.

Francesa said the Vick spot idea seemed to come out of nowhere.

"I'm surprised by that myself. It was started by the Vick camp. They wanted to do something this year on Tuesdays. I'm glad to do it with them. Remarkably, the Jets said yes. That surprised me ... I'm looking forward to it."

Vick will likely make his debut on WFAN next Tuesday and offer his thoughts on the Jets' season opener this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders and then preview Gang Green's Week 2 matchup at the Green Bay Packers.
