Police: 3 Suspects Beat, Rob Woman In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for three suspects who they say beat and robbed a 25-year-old woman in the Bronx.

It happened just before 4 a.m. back on Aug. 18.

The woman was standing on East 170 Street when three men walked up to her from behind and began repeatedly hitting her with closed fists about the body and face, police said.

One of the suspects grabbed her cell phone while the other tried to steal her purse, police said.

The three then ran off.  Police said the woman was not seriously hurt.

The entire incident was captured on surveillance video.

Police describe one of the suspects are a black male in his late teens, about 5'7" tall and weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt.

The other two suspects are described by police as black males wearing dark clothing.
