Feds: 22-Year-Old N.J. Man Posed As Girl To Stalk Other Girls Online

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - A Warren County man is accused of posing as a teenage girl to stalk other girls online.

The U.S. attorney's office announced federal charges against Brandon McIntyre on Friday.

The 22-year-old Washington Township man faces one count each of stalking and sexual exploitation of a child. The exploitation count carries a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 15 years upon conviction.

Prosecutors allege McIntyre sometimes pretended to be a teenager girl on the social media site Facebook. He allegedly threatened one girl after she refused his offer to go on trips with him. He also allegedly claimed he was a police officer to another girl who had refused to send him nude pictures of herself.

McIntyre was to appear in court in Newark Friday afternoon. It wasn't immediately known if he had retained an attorney.
