Astorino Reportedly Earned $100,000 For Consulting Gigs During Time As Westchester Executive

NEW YORK (AP) -- New York's Republican candidate for governor, Rob Astorino, has earned $100,000 for consulting work with a media company during his first four years as Westchester County executive.

The outside income came from Townsquare Media of Greenwich, Connecticut, his campaign said Tuesday.

Astorino acknowledged in July that he earned $30,000 last year from Townsquare, advising it on radio station programming. Astorino is a former radio producer.

His campaign said Tuesday he also earned $30,000 from Townsquare in 2012 and 2011. He made $10,000 in 2010, his first year as county executive.

Some Democrats have complained that county executive is supposed to be a full-time position. Astorino has said he cleared the consulting job with the county attorney.
