Ridgewood High School Hands Out Chromebooks To Students
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A New Jersey high school has begun distributing laptop computers to all of its students.
Ridgewood High School Principal Thomas Gorman told 1010 WINS' Rebecca Granet that 1,700 Google Chromebooks are being handed out this week.
"It will allow them access to the Internet and be able to be used in classes," Gorman said.

The principal added that students will even be able to take the computers home for school use and different learning needs.
Erin Dwyer customized her Chromebook with a Beyonce desktop background and is thinking of naming it, too -- but not "Blue Ivy."
"Blue Ivy, I feel like (it's) trademarked," Dwyer said. "I need to think of something on the green, purple -- maybe I'll do 'Purple Plant.'"
Added another enthusiasitc student after receiving his computer: "Let's get this education!"
