Police: Man Robbed, Choked 76-Year-Old Woman In Bronx Apartment

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The victim complied and showed the suspect where she had her money, and fled with $500, police said.

The victim was taken to NewYork Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center, where she was treated for bruising to her neck and legs, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male in his late 50s or early 60s, police said. He stood about 5 feet 11 inches tall and was last seen wearing a white button-down shirt and dark pants, police said.

Police have released surveillance photos and video of the suspect.
