Missing Man Visiting NYC From Ecuador Has Been Found
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man who vanished while visiting relatives in New York City from Ecuador has been found.
Geovanny Gonzalez was reunited with his family Friday morning, police said. Family members told CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez he was found in Queens, but no other details are known.
Gonzalez and his parents flew in from Ecuador on Friday to visit relatives in Brooklyn, but within hours he disappeared.
His cousin, Robinson Almache, said Gonzalez is on medication for epileptic seizures and although he's in his 20s, he has the mind of a 10-year-old.

His family said he was excited to visit the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. But when they told him he'd have to wait a few days, he stormed off down Wycoff Avenue near Grove Avenue in Bushwick.
"He went at such a fast pace when my aunt and uncle went to look for him, they saw him a few blocks away," Almache said. "It was too late. By the time they got there, he just vanished."
Gonzalez's family had set up a command center in Brooklyn to help in the search and had been giving out flyers. Police K-9 units also aided in the search. Police said his scent was picked up at a nearby subway station.
