Man Charged In Fatal Stabbing Of Ex-Girlfriend In Jersey City
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Authorities say a 43-year-old man has been charged with murder after they say he fatally stabbed his former girlfriend in Jersey City.
Hudson County prosecutors said Thursday that Michael Humphrey was arrested Thursday morning and charged with the murder of 53-year-old Patricia Santana.
Humphrey's bail was set at $500,000. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
Prosecutors say they responded to a report of a stabbing at 3 a.m. Thursday and found Santana dead with multiple stab wounds to her body.
Humphrey was found a few blocks away from the apartment where police believe he lived with Santana.
