Suffolk County Police Lt. Kevin Beyrer said Graff has ties to the area, but they are investigating if his body was dumped in the park or if that is where he was killed.

"This certainly was an unexpected event. This is a very quiet park. This was a very unusual event," he said.

Beyrer said Graff was last seen on Oct. 9 at the Long Island Rail Road station in Jamaica, Queens.

Graff's body was taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy will be performed.
