Charges May Be Filed Against Westwood Homeowner Accused Of Hosting Underage Party

WESTWOOD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - Possible criminal charges may be filed against a homeowner in Westwood accused of hosting a party filled with underage teens.

The party took place at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night on Fourth Avenue, 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck reported.

A neighbor named Laurie told Schuck she saw some 50 teens scrambling from the home, several stumbling around drunk in the street. Laurie told Schuck she found one passed out in her shed and another throwing up in her driveway.

"How are you allowing all these kids to drink like that in your home, at 16 and 17 years old?" Laurie said. "Kids passed out in the back of our houses. What if I never went into the back yard, and something, God forbid, would've happened to that kid?"

One of the teens was taken to Pascack Valley Hospital.

Laurie told Schuck the homeowner was present at the time of the party.

"Party's over. You know, I don't want to see her go to jail. She has kids, and I heard that could possibly happen," Laurie told Schuck.
