Bail Set At $1 Million For Man Accused Of 16 Burglaries On Long Island
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island man charged in connection with a string of burglaries is being held on $1 million bail.
Anthony Myles, who is known as "Tree Top" because he stands 6-feet-6-inches tall and weighs more than 300 pounds, is accused of 16 commercial burglaries in Suffolk County, mainly in the Town of Huntington.

Assistant District Attorney James O'Rourke said the 50-year-old Huntington Station man went on a "one-man crime spree" between May and October.
O'Rourke said Myles stole cash, cash registers and a television from mom-and-pop establishments, including pizza parlors, restaurants and delis.
"I think when you have 16 commercial burglaries this isn't an isolated incident, this isn't a mistake, this isn't somebody in a bad circumstance that makes a bad decision, this is somebody that is cognizant of right and wrong," O'Rourke told WCBS 880's Sophia Hall.
O'Rourke said they have a strong case against Myles.
"We have confessions on each of the 16 burglaries," O'Rourke said. "There are video of, I believe, four of the incidents. In the video we have the defendant himself, we have his face."
The attorney representing Myles would not comment on the case, but said her client lives in Huntington Station with his wife, son and five grandchildren.
