Police: Woman, 77, Struck, Killed While Walking Down Flatbush Ave. In Park Slope
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating an accident that left a 77-year-old female pedestrian dead on Monday afternoon.
At 12:25 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian struck at Flatbush and Atlantic avenues in Park Slope.
Upon arrival, police determined that the victim -- later identified as Winnifred Matthias -- was struck by a 2013 dump truck as it traveled northbound on Flatbush Avenue.
The driver of the truck remained on the scene.
