LISTEN: Rolle Backs Up JPP, Says Giants Are 'More Than Capable' Of Winning Out

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul took a page out of Antrel Rolle's book on Monday, proclaiming that the 3-4 Giants can win their next nine games and finish the season 12-4.

Rolle joined WFAN host Evan Roberts in his weekly spot on Tuesday afternoon, and he backed up his teammate's bold statement.

"We're more than capable (of winning out)," the captain of the defense told Roberts. "This is a good football team that we have. I know our record doesn't show that right now, and what I'm saying probably doesn't mean much, but we have a darn good football team right now. We have to just put it together and find that trust in each and every player on every single play. And find ways to be better. That's the coaches, that's the players."

The Giants have been incredibly inconsistent in 2014. After dropping their first two games to start the season, they won the next three to get above .500. Then came two crushing defeats to the division-rival Eagles and Cowboys.

New York sits in third place in the NFC East behind first-place Dallas (6-1) and second-place Philadelphia (5-1).

"(We need to) find ways to be more creative, find ways to put the playmakers in better position to make more plays, have your playmakers capture those opportunities once they're in those positions to make plays," the three-time Pro Bowler said. "So we all need to get better. From top to bottom, I feel like everyone can get better. Everyone can do a better job, and I think we can come together more collectively as a group."

The G-Men have a bye this week, after which they'll play the Colts, Seahawks, 49ers and Cowboys.
