Renee Zellweger Hits The Red Carpet With Dramatically New Look

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- You know her face from the big screen and she has been a leading lady in countless movies, but Renee Zellweger looked dramatically different when she hit the red carpet this past Monday night.

As CBS 2's Tracee Carrasco reported, pictures of the 45-year-old star flooded the Internet after she walked the red carpet at an Elle magazine event in Los Angeles.

The images now have people asking, "Why does she look so different?"

Some have speculated that the "Jerry Maguire" star has plastic surgery, something she has denied in the past.

"It doesn't even look like her. It's crazy to me," one fan said.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Matthew Schulman believes that Zellweger may have had multiple procedures.

"I think she probably had an upper and lower eye lid surgery," Dr. Schulman said, "some filler in the upper cheek area, maybe even a chin implant."

Pictures of the new Zellweger have many people asking if the pressures of staying young in Hollywood might have finally gotten to her.

"You should be happy with the way you look, and age gracefully," Jelenny Viera said.

"It's hard to be a girl, and what you look like matters, and do you ever look good enough, so I'm not judging any of these girls," Eleanor Reissa added.

Whatever the reason, all can agree that it doesn't matter as long as she is happy with the results.
