Troopers Posted At School District In Montrose Due To Threats
MONTROSE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- School officials said state troopers will be posted Friday at a Westchester County school district following threats that forced lockdowns two days in a row.
The Hendrick Hudson district in Montrose has three elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. Police said threats were called to the high school Tuesday and Wednesday.
The school district said it received the threat in an anonymous call from a man.

"The caller mentioned wanting his money. A school secretary and assistant principal both participated calmly in the call, trying to get the individual to explain what exactly he wanted, but he continued an obscene rant and eventually hung up," the district said in a statement posted on its website.
The school was sealed Tuesday after the phone threat that followed an incident of a stolen computer and broken window in a classroom Monday.
"In this day and age, the school district went to a lockdown," Joe Carroll, whose son is a sophomore, told WCBS 880's Sean Adams. "It's a priority these days, unfortunately, with the other happenings in the country."
Some parents have taken to social media to say they are keeping their children home.
