Police: Greenwich Man Stopped For Speeding Tried To Eat DWI Test Results

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- New York State police say a man pulled over for speeding tried to eat his DWI test results.

According to state troopers, 40-year-old Kenneth Desormes was stopped for speeding on Interstate 95 at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday and was placed under arrest after the troopers determined he was drunk behind the wheel.

Desormes was then taken to the state police barracks in Tarrytown to be processed.

Authorities said when Desormes' breathalyzer test results were printing, he grabbed the paperwork and tried to eat it.

The Greenwich, Connecticut resident is charged with driving while intoxicated, obstructing governmental administration, and criminal tampering.

Authorities have not released information as to whether he was remanded to jail, released with an appearance ticket, or released on bail or bond.
