Thursday's Open

On October 29, when the final out was recorded in the 2014 World Series, Alex Rodriguez's season-long suspension officially concluded. And after remaining relatively dormant throughout, one couldn't help but think that the Yankees third baseman would once again become a fixture in the daily news cycle.

Fast forward to this rainy Thursday morning in New York City and the infamous A-Rod is officially 'back in the swing of things' -- which understandably has people talking.  Two such folks talking about the 'lightning rod' were the Dynamic Radio Duo known around the world simply as Boomer & Carton.

After reportedly admitting to PED use and paying big bucks with hopes of covering it up, Rodriguez is the sports talk radio gift that keeps on giving.  Like him or not, he certainly piques  curiosity.

Neither Boomer or Craig are surprised by the 'revelation,' but considering the chain reaction from WFAN's afternoon host Mike Francesa's interview with the maligned superstar last November and his reaction, to the reaction of others in the business, it was A-Rod on the docket early on today, which has to make Jets GM John Idzik kinda happy, by the way.  Considering the story involving someone flying a plane, with a 'Fire John Idzik' banner attached to it over the team's facility yesterday while practice was taking place was a mere footnote in Thursday's show open, Idzik should be thankin' his lucky stars.

So there you have it and away we go...
