Boomer & Carton: Offering Up An Apology And Rallying Around Rex

After advising loyal listeners to 'bet the mortgage' on the Knicks to beat the Magic on Wednesday night at the Garden, a distraught Craigie got things started Thursday morning by instructing 'The' Eddie Scozzare to kill the open music so he could offer up a heartfelt apology after the hapless Knickerbockers were dealt a 97-95 loss, their sixth in a row.

Boomer is a Knicks fan as well, but his heart is really with the Rangers, so he didn't share in his radio partner's sick feeling, although he did serve as a good sounding board for his troubled BFF -- further proof that the Blonde Bomber is a team player through and through.

Craig is convinced Derek Fisher cannot coach at the pro level and believes it might be time to pull the plug on the Phil Jackson experiment.  Things have gotten so bad for Craig in fact that he has not ruled out watching more hockey!

Anyway, in other news we hear that the Jets are now playing for their head coach Rex Ryan, in a related story Gang Green is on a bye this week -- so there's that too...
