Jersey City Pilot Survives Small Plane Crash In Connecticut

CLINTON, Conn. (CBSNewYork) - A pilot from Jersey City, New Jersey has survived a small plane crash in Connecticut.

CBS2 reported Shirley Onacilla, 62, was making her way to Orange County, New York Saturday afternoon when she began having engine troubles.

Air traffic controllers reportedly tried redirecting her towards a nearby airport, but she went down in a patch of trees near a home in Clinton, Connecticut.

Onacilla complained of aches and pains but did not appear to be seriously hurt, CBS2 reported.
