Tiki Barber: It's Time For The Giants To Get Rid Of Tom Coughlin

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Giants are now 3-7 and on the verge of missing the playoffs for the third consecutive time and the fifth time in six seasons.

There isn't usually much turnover in Big Blue Land, but major changes could be coming after yet another disappointing season.

Many are calling for head coach Tom Coughlin to get the boot after the season, and Tiki Barber is among them.

"The Giants' players are not listening to Tom Coughlin anymore," the CBS Sports Radio host told The Beast 980 radio in Los Angeles on Monday. "As much as they want to pass the buck and blame the offensive coordinator, the team got rid of Kevin Gilbride and brought in Ben McAdoo.

"Now they say it's the defensive coordinator's fault, so maybe it's time to get rid of Perry Fewell. At some point, it trickles uphill and it has to be Tom Coughlin's responsibility. I've held off on saying it, but it is time for them to make a change at head coach."

After winning three straight games to improve to 3-2, New York has dropped five straight.

Coughlin has been the Giants' coach since 2004. In 2013 he suffered his first losing season (7-9) since he went 6-10 in his first season with the organization.

The 68-year-old has led the Giants to five postseason appearances, three NFC East titles and victories in Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI.

Barber played for Coughlin from 2004-2006.
