11/20 CBS2 Afternoon & Weekend Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

Good afternoon everyone...

The breeze continues to blow out of the north and west this afternoon keeping wind chills in the teens and 20s across much of the area. We'll work our way into the mid to upper 30s later today, so it won't be quite as cold as it was earlier this week, but chilly nevertheless. The good news is, we'll see abundant sunshine right through the afternoon.

Temperatures will return to the upper 20s by dawn again, but the winds will diminish into the overnight hours, so it won't feel quite as bad. Expect starlit skies once again.

We're officially on the rebound tomorrow as we see the low 40s return. A few more clouds will get thrown into the mix, but it stays generally quiet across the area. There could be a little light rain or mixed precipitation across our northwestern 'burbs into Saturday night. We'll have more on that tonight and tomorrow.

On Sunday we'll see some morning clouds giving way to some sun. Temps will take an even bigger leap as we find ourselves back to normal (and then some) in the low to mid 50s! Rain will return late that evening and stick around at least through the morning hours on Monday, and then we'll climb well into the 60s by the afternoon! Talk about an autumn swing!

Check back for more details on the rain and the big warm up!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
