NHL Shifts Rangers' Game At Buffalo To February 20

BUFFALO, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The NHL is juggling its schedule to squeeze in a postponed game between the Buffalo Sabres and the New York Rangers.

The Sabres will now host the Rangers on Feb. 20, the league announced on Friday. The game was initially scheduled to be played Friday night, but postponed on Thursday as a result of a severe lake-effect snowstorm that paralyzed much of the Buffalo region this week.

In order to fit in the Rangers' game, the NHL was forced to shift another game on its schedule.

The Sabres were supposed to host the Ottawa Senators on Feb. 20.

That game will now be played in Buffalo on Dec. 15, and extend the Sabres' homestand to four games. The Senators, meanwhile, had a three-day break between games.

This week's Jets-Bills game, originally scheduled to be played in Buffalo on Sunday, was moved to Monday night in Detroit.
