11/23: CBS2 Sunday Morning Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning everyone!

Any scattered showers north and west of the city from the overnight are now out of here and we're expecting a nice day ahead! A mix of sun and clouds is on tap for your Sunday, with afternoon highs reaching the mid-50s. When we compare that to what we've experienced the past few days, not too bad!

The good news is temps will take another leap forward to start out your work week with a passing warm front. The bad news is rain comes along with them. Increasing clouds appear during the afternoon, with rain moving in late tonight. Temps will actually rise overnight, reaching the upper 50s by dawn Monday.

Unfortunately, be prepared for a wet and messy morning commute, especially if you're an early riser: steady rain, heavy at times, through the early morning hours of Monday. Any lingering showers should wrap up by lunchtime and we may even squeeze out a few peeks of late sunshine. Despite the rain, temps will soar into the upper 60s for most, with some even hitting the 70 mark. A true spring taste for this late November day!

We clear out again for Tuesday with mostly sunny skies, and drop the highs back into the mid and upper 50s. There is the potential for a storm on Wednesday to make the busy travel day quite messy, so you'll want to check back later for updates on how that might affect your travel plans, and of course your Thanksgiving Day forecast!
