Bill Cosby To Offer Refunds For Ticket Holders Of Show In Tarrytown

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Bill Cosby is still performing at a suburban New York venue next weekend but the embattled comic is offering refunds to ticket holders who don't want to go.

The Journal News reports that Cosby's two Dec. 6 shows at the Tarrytown Music Hall are going on as scheduled.

But ticket holders got an email from the box office Friday offering refunds.

The email said Cosby's management would reimburse patrons who don't want to attend the show.

The show was scheduled long before the current flare-up of decades-old sexual assault allegations and the cancelling of his TV comeback, CBS2's Lou Young reported on November 20.

The executive director of the Tarrytown Music Hall, however, told CBS2 cancelling the show next month wouldn't really hurt Cosby financially since the comedian will get paid regardless if he performs or not because of his contract.

Ticket holders have asked for refunds for the nearly sold-out shows, but the musical hall's executive director said they can't afford to give them or turn Cosby away. Instead, they have offered to create an open seat protest list and give it to the comedian after the show, Young reported.

Cosby shows in some other states have been canceled after women came forward alleging he sexually assaulted them. But more than 30 shows remain on his schedule through May 2015.

Foxwoods Resort Casino has indefinitely postponed Cosby's concert appearance that was scheduled for January.

Cosby has denied the allegations against him.
