Bronx Man Charged In Several N.J. Home Burglaries

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Bail has been set at $500,000 for a New York City man accused of breaking into numerous homes in central New Jersey over the past year.

South Brunswick police say 32-year-old Felix Bruno of the Bronx faces 10 counts of burglary. His arrest was announced Tuesday, and it was not known if he has retained an attorney.

Authorities say Bruno has also been charged with other burglaries in Edison and East Brunswick.

The burglaries in South Brunswick occurred between Dec. 12, 2013 and Aug. 1, 2014. Most of them took place during the evening or early morning hours.

Bruno allegedly used rear slider doors as entry points by either moving the door off track or smashing the glass. Authorities say he then targeted jewelry and electronics in master bedrooms.
