Investigation Under Way After Woman Is Stabbed, Killed In Jamaica, Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were investigating a stabbing hat left a woman dead in Jamaica, Queens.

Officers arrived around 2:30 p.m. Monday after a call of an assault at 107-22 Watson Pl. in Queens, police said.

They found the 31-year-old woman at the scene with multiple stab wounds to her head and chest, police said.

The woman was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

She was identified as Margarita Rivera.

The investigation into Rivera's death continued late Tuesday.
