12/4 CBS2 Thursday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hello everyone,

Man, it felt great to see the sun today! Although were still not above the norm, I'd still call today pleasant.

We drop back down near the freezing mark tonight here in Manhattan. We will drop to the 20s in the surrounding communities.

Friday starts off similar to this morning -- chilly, but fairly clear. Clouds push in throughout the day tomorrow and rain will slide east after 8 p.m. So if you're headed out on the town Friday night, you will need the umbrella.

Rain lingers into Saturday morning, but it heads north. So those living in South Jersey might have just a few clouds for the morning hours. Then, during the second half of the day, the cold front sweeps across and can give us some pockets of heavy rain into the evening.

The front passes overnight Saturday. Temps drop Sunday, and the rain looks a whole lot less likely to kill your plans. It's much more scattered in nature, so will keep an eye on it for you all.

Check back in for an update tonight!
