12/12 CBS2 Friday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Did you notice anything different when you stepped out this morning? That's right, the lingering precip associated with that pesky low from the past few days has FINALLY moved on outta here!

The only effects we'll be seeing from it today are the cold NW winds, keeping highs in the upper 30s to around 40, with wind chills in the 20s at times. Think of it as a transition day, as that low pulls away and high pressure builds on in!

We drop to the low 30s tonight in the city with maybe a stray flurry or two. Tomorrow will really kick off an extended period of quiet weather. The weekend is looking great, with a mix of sun and clouds. Temps in the low 40s for Saturday, and we bump that up into the mid and upper 40s for your Sunday. Some perfect days for fixing those holiday decorations after the strong winds we've seen lately.

Monday is looking really nice, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 40s. Tuesday might see a few more clouds, but still partly sunny with temps topping out around 50! Pretty long stretch of dry weather coming up, which considering what we've been dealing with lately, is a wonderful welcome.

Happy Friday!
