A six-month-old Westie named Ozzie was adopted on Friday. He will be heading home to a new home in Bedford-Stuyvesant with a new owner named Garth.

"We heard about it on the Internet, and we've been looking for a dog for a long time and we thought adoption was the best way to go," Garth said.

Jamie Rubin of the Best Friends Animal Society said the pet adoption event is the first of its kind in New York City.

And as for Ozzie, Garth plans to make him feel at home.

"A lot of walks, hopefully some fetch, training -- he jumps a lot," Garth said.

An assortment of celebrities were set to attend the adoption event, including Edie Falco, Bernadette Peters, Emma Kenny of "Shameless," Amir Arison of "The Blacklist," David Mazouz and John Doman of "Gotham," and Jake Robinson and Nate Mooney of "Odyssey."
