Cloudy skies dominated this morning, and will continue to hang around this afternoon. Some sun is expected to break through at times, but unfortunately will take a back seat to the clouds today. Highs will reach the low 40s for the city. The good news is it will be dry for the game over at MetLife Stadium, with a kickoff temp around 38.

Today is the winter solstice and we officially welcome winter at 6:03 PM. This Christmas week will feel anything but winter-like however, with a warming trend taking place and plenty of wet weather on the way.

Partly cloudy skies overnight with lows in the low to mid 30s. Monday starts out dry, with early sun and clouds giving way to increasing clouds later. A chance of showers moves in tomorrow night, kicking off what looks to be a very damp next few days. Highs tomorrow topping out in the mid 40s. Tuesday looks cloudy and wet, with light to moderate showers throughout the day. It will be warmer though, with high temps around 50 in NYC.

The main event moves in for Christmas Eve, with rain and gusty winds. Whatever your holiday plans may be, you'll definitely need the rain gear! Pack the patience, because travel around the tri-state area will likely be a mess on Wednesday. The upside is highs will soar into the upper 50s! Christmas Day looks like it may start out on the wet side, with afternoon and evening clearing. It will be very windy though!
