Eli On WFAN: It May Be Too Late, But Giants Feeling Really Good About Offense

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- The Giants are closing out a lost season with some serious pride.

Big Blue will look to make it four straight wins when they conclude the regular season at home against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

A win will send the Giants into the offseason 7-9, which may not sound like all that much, but considering where this season was heading it would be an accomplishment.

Since bottoming out with a one-point loss at lowly Jacksonville on Nov. 20, the Giants have scored 97 points in three games, including putting up 37 in a 10-point win over the Rams in St. Louis on Sunday.

Eli Manning has quietly had a tremendous bounce-back season after struggling mightily during the 2013 campaign. The 11-year veteran is 19 yards short of his fourth 4,000-yard passing season and first since the Giants' Super Bowl-championship season of 2011, and has thrown 29 touchdowns to just 13 interceptions.

He told WFAN's Mike Francesa on Monday that he's finally completely at ease with the version of the West Coast offense installed by new coordinator Ben McAdoo.

"I think we're feeling good within the offense. The players are starting to understand everything. Everybody is in the mix. Everybody is making plays," said Manning, who was 25-of-32 for 391 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday. "I have enjoyed the process of learning this offense."

He's also enjoyed throwing the ball to all-world rookie Odell Beckham Jr.

The 12th overall pick in this year's draft out of LSU, Beckham has 79 receptions, 1,120 yards and 11 TDs in just 11 games this season. He had eight more catches, 148 yards and two TDs on Sunday. His 80-yard scoring grab put the Giants up two touchdowns late in the third quarter.

"He gave a great move on the safety and it was just like we drew it up," Manning said.

The Giants will be looking for revenge and to perhaps pile on what has been a brutal December for the Eagles (9-6). Since winning convincingly in Dallas on Thanksgiving, Philadelphia has dropped three straight and has been eliminated from postseason contention.

"This next one is big. We played them earlier and they beat up on us pretty good," Manning said. "It's the last game that you will be thinking about for the next five, six, seven months. It's our final show and we want it to be a good one."

The Eagles defeated the Giants 27-0 in Philadelphia back on Oct. 12.
