1/5 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

We're in for a total turnaround today as we say goodbye to yesterday's 50s and hello to the 30s! And when you factor in the 15-25 mph winds that will be whipping out there, it will only feel like 20 degrees! The good news is, we'll see a great deal of sunshine around the area through this afternoon.

Temperatures tumble even more so into tonight -- low 20s with a wind chill near 10 degrees at sunrise. And with the approach of a clipper system, we'll see clouds fill in overnight, but it will stay quiet.

There's a chance of a little light snow to the west and south during tomorrow morning's rush, but it's really not until later in the morning and afternoon that we'll see an on/off light snow develop.

The snow will wrap up tomorrow evening with totals ranging anywhere between a trace and a couple of inches. It's not a big event, but it will certainly impact travel during the day. As for temperatures, we won't even see the freezing mark, but the winds won't be whipping quite like they will be today.

There's still a chance of flurries on Wednesday, but the main story will be the persistent cold -- highs in the 20s with those whipping winds back in place.

Arctic air pushes in on Thursday with highs struggling to get out of the teens; subzero and single digit wind chills!

Check back for more details on the snow and big chill this week!
