1/6 CBS2 Tuesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Pockets of snow will pass through the area through the late afternoon hours with the bulk of the snow out of here by 5 or 6 pm. As for temperatures, don't expect a big warm up... only the mid 20s or so.

The clouds will break up some tonight with temperatures returning to the low 20s by daybreak... wind chill of 5-10°.

It's going to get pretty brutal out there tomorrow as we see our winds increase throughout the day (gusts of 35-40 mph by sunset) with wind chills only 5-15° most of the time. And just so no one's caught off guard, we can't rule out passing snow showers during the day... could be intense for a period of time.

Thursday morning will be the coldest yet with wake up temperatures around 10°; wind chills will be around -10°! And despite the sunshine, highs that day will struggle to reach the 20° mark; afternoon wind chills will only peak around 10°.

A few snow showers are possible on Friday with temperatures approaching the freezing mark.
