1/10 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening all,

It was downright brutal out there today! We reached a high of 23 in Central Park, but with the winds it felt more like the teens for much of the day. Another frigid night is on tap, with lows dipping into the mid to upper teens in the city under partly cloudy skies.

Tomorrow will feature partly sunny skies and we bump the temps up into the low to mid 30s. Compared to today, it will definitely feel better! Clouds increase later on ahead of our next round of precipitation overnight Sunday and into Monday.

Monday looks like a messy mix of rain and snow, especially during the morning. As of now, looks like we'll start as snow before sunrise and change over to rain as temps rise above freezing. The morning commute could be messy, with a wintry mix for the city. The good news is it does not look like a lot of accumulation, especially in areas where it changes to rain. This will be more of a nuisance storm at this point.

We clear out for Tuesday with mostly sunny skies, but it will be much colder with temps back down into the 20s behind the cold front.
