Boomer & Carton: Jets Get Their Guys, Islanders Handle The Rangers

The Jets have been busy since Boomer and Craig signed off Tuesday morning at 10 a.m., hiring a GM in Mike Maccagnan and reportedly choosing Todd Bowles to be their next head coach.

Boomer and Craig discussed the Jets' fresh start while getting things going this cold Wednesday morning.

For the most part Craig is on board with the moves, outside of the idea of bringing Chan Gailey in to be offensive coordinator, which has been rumored.  Speaking of the offensive side of the ball, Boomer is a little surprised Woody Johnson elected to hire another defensive-minded head coach; Bowles of course has served as the Cardinals defensive coordinator since 2013.

Meanwhile the Jets' former head coach, Rex Ryan, made his presence felt in Buffalo yesterday afternoon as he will be introduced as the Bills new front man later today.

From the Jets to Rex, to the hockey locals, after the Islanders shutout Boomer's beloved Rangers 3-0.  The setback had the Blonde Bomber in a foul mood, which we are all used to by now -- as the Blueshirts go, so goes the Booms if you will.
