2 Suspects Wanted In Robbery Of Delivery Trucks In Upper Manhattan, The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were searching for two suspects in the robbery of six delivery trucks in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx over the past month.

In all the incidents, one or two men approached the delivery truck driver at gunpoint and demanded money, police said. No injuries were reported.

The robberies happened at the following times and locations.

• Around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 17 Morningside Ave. in Harlem. Two suspects were involved;

• Around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 438 W. 206th St. in Inwood. One suspect was involved;

• Around 9:10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at 4672 Broadway in Washington Heights. Two suspects were involved;

• Around 10:25 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at 676 E. 180th St. in Tremont, the Bronx. Two suspects were involved;

• Around 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 258 Nagle Ave. in Inwood. One suspect was involved;

• At 8:46 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at 300 W. 155th St. in Harlem. Two suspects were involved.

The suspects were described as two black males around 30 years old – one about 5 feet 8 inches tall, the other about 6 feet tall.

Police have released surveillance video from the Dec. 29 incident in the Bronx, and the Dec. 30 incident in Inwood. A man seen walking in a suit was involved in the Dec. 30 incident and was caught walking toward the delivery truck, while both suspects were caught on surveillance video in the Dec. 29 Bronx incident, police said.

In the Dec. 29 Bronx incident, the suspects came up to the truck and followed the driver into a store as he made a delivery, police said. The suspects then robbed the delivery driver and the clerk of the store, police said.
