Missing Fort Lee Man's Body Found In Trunk Of His Car In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- The body of a missing Fort Lee, New Jersey man was found in the trunk of a car that belonged to him in the Bronx Thursday.

Police found the car on 211th Street and Tryon Avenue in the Norwood section of the Bronx, along the southern edge of Woodlawn Cemetery.

Police confirmed to CBS2 late Thursday that the body was that of Jordan Johnson, 24.

Johnson's girlfriend, Megan Faulkner, went to Harlem late Tuesday to him, police said. Faulkner told police he was nowhere to be found and she tried unsuccessfully numerous times to contact.

Faulkner told police she returned to their apartment to find it ransacked. A large amount of jewelry and cash were missing.

The New York City Medical Examiner's office was to determine the cause of Johnson's death. The investigation continued late Thursday.
