Three Women Accused Of Using Fake Credit Cards At Fast Food Restaurants On Long Island

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - After being grilled by police, three suspected hamburglars are behind bars.

Teshaona Peets-Butcher, Taquana Potter and Joycelyn Kumi are accused of using fake credit cards to make purchases at McDonalds, Subway and Chipotle restaurants in Lawrence.

Nassau County Police apprehended the trio after getting a call for a fraud in progress at the McDonalds on Rockaway Turnpike.

They had 85 fraudulent credit cards which had been re-encoded, police said. They also had a machine to re-encode the cards, police said.

Kumi, 19, Potter, 21, and Peets-Butcher, 19 face possession of forged instrument charges. Potter was also accused of possession of marijuana.

The trio face are set for arraignment Friday in Hempstead.
