New Photos Out In Shooting That Left Man Critically Wounded On Lower East Side

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police released new photos Thursday in a shooting that left a man in critical condition on the Lower East Side earlier this week.

Around 7:03 p.m. Monday, police say a 22-year-old man was walking down Rivington Street between Pitt and Ridge streets when the suspect approached him, shooting him four times in the back.

Police also released a surveillance video earlier this week in an effort to identify the male suspect, last seen wearing white sneakers and a black jacket. Police have also released video surveillance of the suspect in hopes of identifying him.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition, according to the NYPD.
