The Latest Spring Footwear Styles Are On Display At The Shoe Show In Midtown

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Anyone getting tired of trudging around in snow boots will be happy to hear that the latest styles for spring have been unveiled in Midtown.

As CBS2's Cindy Hsu reported the Shoe Show is a shoe lover's dream. It's where store buyers decide what will hit the shelves.

Alicia Ciccaglione, with Fashion Footwear Association of New York said florals are blooming.

"This is a shoe that I love. It has the texture, the embossed leather with the floral on top," she said.

There's also black and white, in heels and flats. Kelley Lehner said to expect lots of laser cutting.

"What's so cool about her, despite her really cool laser, is the laser detail on the wedge which is super unique and fun," she said.

The gladiator heel is hot, along with more subtle surprises like a shot of color on the sole.

There were also styles for those looking for something more classic and comfortable.

"It's a slingback, that's also added comfort and it has a shorter heel," Ciccaglione said.

For super comfort there's the chic sneaker.

"The scalloped detail, she's super flexible, has a lot of padding, so she's super comfortable, rubber outsoles, so like a really cute, fun sneaker.

There were tons of boots as well, with lots of great detail including one with an animal print zipper all the way up the side.

The shoe show is not open to the public, but many of the styles there will be in stores by March.
