10 Years For Irvington, N.J. Man Who Admitted To Shooting Man Over Parking Space

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- An Irvington, New Jersey man who pleaded admitted to shooting another man four times during an apparent dispute over a parking spot was sentenced to 10 years in prison Friday.

Marcus Martin, 33, pleaded guilty to attempted murder on Dec. 15, according to an NJ.com report.

At the sentencing hearing Friday, the defendant Judge Martin Cronin he wants to ``make amends for the things I've done wrong.''

Martin confessed to shooting a man four times in the torso as he tried to walk away after an argument on Labor Day 2013.

The victim spent nearly a month in the hospital and was in a coma for most of that time.
