Police: Man Molested Woman On Brooklyn Streetcorner On New Year's Morning

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Friday were searching for a suspect who molested a woman as she walked with her boyfriend in South Slope, Brooklyn.

On New Year's Day at 5:21 a.m., the man followed the 38-year-old woman and her boyfriend to the corner of 19th Street and Fifth Avenue in Brooklyn, police said Friday.

At the corner, the suspect forcibly grabbed the woman's buttocks and vaginal area over her pants, police said.

The man then ran off down 19th Street, police said.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, wearing a dark shirt with large white lettering and a polka dot winter hat.

Police have released a surveillance photo and video.
